Public lighting

SMEG manages and maintains the public lighting installations in the Principality of Monaco :

On the territory, there are nearly 200 kms of cables and 7200 lighting systems that are upkept by our company.

In order to improve the energy efficiency of public lighting installations, a vast program to replace the traditional light sources (light bulbs and mercury vapour lamps) has been set up by the Direction de l'Aménagement Urbain- (Urban Planning Department). These sources are progressively being replaced by LED lighting or by metal iodide lights whose energy efficiency is far higher than traditional sources.
